We are seeking a Senior Android Developer to build high-performance Android Automotive experiences that run reliably within embedded in-vehicle environments.

In this role, you will design and develop AAOS applications using Kotlin, integrating Android apps with AI, voice, and backend services while ensuring compliance with automotive UX, performance, and driver distraction guidelines. You will create scalable, testable, and maintainable architectures, collaborate closely with QA on automation and quality validation, and work with DevOps to support smooth CI/CD and release processes.

You will also debug and optimize applications running on constrained automotive hardware, contribute to technical decisions and code reviews, and help define best practices that elevate the overall quality of our Android ecosystem.

Overall responsibilities and duties:

• Design and develop Android Automotive (AAOS) applications using Kotlin.

• Integrate Android apps with AI, voice, and backend services.

• Ensure compliance with automotive UX, performance, and driver distraction requirements.

• Build scalable, testable, and maintainable Android architectures.

• Collaborate with QA on automation and quality validation.

• Work with DevOps to support CI/CD and release processes.

• Debug and optimize apps running on embedded automotive hardware.

• Contribute to technical decisions, code reviews, and best practices.

Qualifications:

• 5+ years of professional Android development experience.

• Strong proficiency in Kotlin and modern Android development practices.

• Experience building production Android applications.

• Solid understanding of Android architecture components.

• Experience integrating with REST APIs and backend services.

• Strong debugging skills and performance awareness.

• Hands-on experience with Android Automotive (AAOS).

• Experience with in-vehicle infotainment (IVI) systems.

• Familiarity with voice assistants or conversational interfaces.

• Experience working with AI-driven features.

• Knowledge of automotive UX or driver distraction guidelines.

• Experience with embedded or constrained hardware environments.
