We are seeking a Senior Android Engineer (R&D and App Ecosystem) to help shape the future of Android Automotive experiences across our platform and partner ecosystem.

In this role, you will design and implement intuitive, high-performance features for Android-based in-car applications while contributing to the evolution of Android Automotive standards and ecosystem enablers. Working closely with senior Android developers, QA engineers, and backend teams, you will be involved throughout the full development lifecycle—from concept and implementation to support and continuous improvement.

You will write clean, scalable code, participate in technical discussions and code reviews, and approach challenges with a problem-solving mindset to ensure system stability and user satisfaction. Your work will directly influence usability, performance, and the overall quality of the Android Automotive app ecosystem, while upholding strong ethical and professional standards in daily practice.

Overall responsibilities and duties: 

  • Help shape and evolve Android Automotive standards across the ecosystem. 
  • Design, develop, and implement cohesive, user-friendly features for Android-based in-car applications. 
  • Improve and maintain Android Automotive ecosystem enablers, with a focus on usability and performance. 
  • Work closely with Senior Android Developers, QA Engineers, and Backend Developers throughout the development lifecycle. 
  • Participate in support activities with a problem-solving mindset, ensuring system stability and user satisfaction. 
  • Write clean, scalable code and contribute to code reviews and technical discussions.
  • Perform other tasks that are similar or functionally connected and for which he/she has the required qualifications and competencies to help achieve the goals of the team/organization.

Qualifications: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field (or equivalent work experience). 
  • 3+ years of professional experience in Android application development using Kotlin and Java. 
  • Knowledge of Android Automotive OS and Android Car APIs. 
  • Proficient in English, with strong written and verbal communication skills. 
  • Experience working in agile and cross-functional development teams. 
  • Familiarity with Android development best practices and debugging tools. 
  • Nice to have: Exposure to Android OS internals, including ADB and system customization.
