Overall responsibilities and duties:

  • Own and grow strategic relationships with APAC-based OEMs, serving as the primary point of contact for business, technical, and commercial matters.
  • Understand customer needs and business objectives, proposing tailored software solutions, including the Android Apps Market platform and related offerings.
  • Lead commercial activities, including promotions, RFIs, RFQs, quotations, change requests, pricing, and business plan estimation, in collaboration with finance/controllers.
  • Plan and deliver compelling product demos, technical presentations, and executive briefings to showcase the value of our software solutions and drive adoption.
  • Define and execute account-specific sales strategies, identifying and co-developing growth opportunities across products, brands, and regions.
  • Lead technical and commercial proposals in response to formal RFX processes, coordinating closely with pre-sales engineering, product, finance, and program teams.
  • Conduct sales forecasting, market research, competitor benchmarking, and monitor market trends and regulatory developments in the automotive software, infotainment, and connected services space to inform account strategy, pricing, and go-to-market decisions.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to ensure successful deal closure, customer onboarding, and ongoing account growth, acting as a trusted advisor to OEM customers.

Qualifications:

  • Experience supporting customers in APAC Automotive markets; proficiency in relevant local languages (e.g., Japanese, Korean, Southeast Asian languages) is a plus.
  • Proven experience in sales or business development in the automotive or software fields.
  • Candidates from Google Android Automotive or automotive SaaS units from major tech companies are highly encouraged.
  • Deep understanding of the SaaS business model, including monetisation, value proposition articulation, and lifecycle management.
  • Clear and persuasive communicator able to engage both technical and business stakeholders across OEM organisations.
  • Self-starter who can operate independently in a fast-paced, startup-like environment while collaborating with global teams.
  • Understanding of in-car software platforms, Android Automotive (AAOS), connected services, and cloud-based app delivery models.
  • Willingness to travel for in-person meetings, internal/external industry events, and workshops across APAC and other regions.
